Overview
Eco Animal Life does not require an account, does not run a login system, and does not operate a server-side database that stores personal information about visitors. This page explains the two places where data is handled on this site: your browser's local storage, and our contact form.
The Comparator tool and local storage
The Biome and Ecosystem Comparator can save the comparisons you build so you don't lose them when you leave the page. It does this using your browser's localStorage — a small storage space built into your browser, tied to your device only. In simple terms: when you save a comparison, it's written to your own computer or phone, not sent to our servers. We never see it, can't access it remotely, and it's not shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for ecoanimallife.com, or by using the "Clear saved comparisons" option in the tool.
The contact form
Our contact form sends the information you submit (name, email, subject, and message) to [email protected] using a third-party form-delivery service, FormSubmit. We only use this to receive and respond to your message. FormSubmit's own privacy practices apply to that transmission — you can read them at formsubmit.co/privacy-policy. We don't use the form to build a mailing list or share your details with advertisers.
Cookies
We don't currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. See our cookie policy for details and what would change if that ever changes.
Analytics
If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics in the future (for example, to understand which articles are useful), we will update this page before doing so and describe exactly what is collected.
Your choices
You can use this entire site, including reading every article, without submitting any personal information. The Comparator tool works without saving anything if you prefer not to use localStorage — saving is optional, not required to see your comparison results.
